VIP Volunteer Spotlight: Courtney

Courtney volunteers as a Houston event organizer, social media creator, and adoption bio writer for Doodle Dandy Rescue. She has had a big impact on bringing the DDR Houston village together with the family-and-dood friendly social events she has organized.

Among other things, these events allow people fostering our dogs to connect with other fosters. It is extremely helpful and fulfilling to connect in person with others who understand the commitment needed to foster dogs and the complexities of that.

Courtney also goes out of her way to help in many other ways! For instance, when asked if she knew any photographers who could capture the best pictures of a particular foster dog, she began reaching out until she found someone willing to do it for free. She then personally supported that photographer’s business as a thank you.

When asked about her work with DDR, Courtney credited many others as the reason she can volunteer effectively—her husband and two boys, her sister, her best friend, and other DDR volunteers (not to mention her 3 doodles Luna, Stella, and Bubba).

Courtney is the kind of special volunteer who makes our rescue organization successful in saving so many Texas doodles!

Doodle Dandy is thankful for you, Courtney!
