What is North Texas Gives to Animals?
Here at Doodle Dandy, we are run entirely by volunteers, and throughout the year, we do fundraising in support of our doodles. So we’re always thrilled when we find an umbrella event to help us raise those funds!
North Texas Giving Day (which takes place in September) has been our biggest annual fundraiser every year. The organization that sponsors it, Communities Foundation of Texas, has expanded to add mini-fundraisers for specific types of charities. So this May is now North Texas Gives to Animals month.
We will be raising funds until the end of the month through North Texas Gives to Animals. The good news is - you don’t have to live in North Texas (or even Texas!) to have your donations count towards our goal. Donate to us here!
You choose your donation amount. Here are examples of what different amounts help us do:
$5 - Every little bit helps!
$25 - Provides a collar and leash or walking harness
$100 - Provides a wellness exam OR 3 months heartworm, flea, & tick preventative
$500 or more - Provides medical procedures like spay/neuter, dental cleaning, x-rays, and beyond!
Donations make it possible for us to give doodles second chances, providing much needed training and veterinary care so our doods can find their furever homes.
