How to Brush Your Doodle and Keep Them Camera Ready!

Say Cheese!

White doodle dog stands on wooden floor, looking at the camera. Text above reads "How to Brush Your Doodle" with heart doodles.

Is your Doodle a diva? A fuzzy fluff in need of a glam squad? Well, grab your brushes and your best funny voice, because it’s time to channel your inner canine stylist and get that pup red carpet-ready.

The Glam Gear

Before you start, gather your grooming arsenal:

  • Slicker Brush – AKA the tangler-tackler.

  • Metal Comb – The truth-teller. It finds every sneaky mat hiding beneath that fluff.

  • Doodle Detangler – Try Doodle Wolf Detangler! It’s the best for getting you paw pal’s coat ready!

Think of it as prepping for a photo shoot: every strand must sparkle, and every tangle must tremble in fear.

Let the Brushing Begin

Your Doodle isn’t just a dog—they’re a supermodel in disguise. Here’s how to keep their coat from looking less “wild llama” and more “cover pup of Canine Vogue.”

Start from the Ground Up

Begin at the feet like you’re rolling out the red carpet—then work your way up. It’s line brushing, not line dancing, so gently brush section by section. Bonus points if your Doodle insists on showing off their paws like a celebrity.

Target the Trouble Spots

Behind the ears, under the arms (armpits, but let’s keep it cute), and the tail—a.k.a. the “danger zones.” That’s where mats like to throw secret parties. Crash them early.

Comb it Like You Mean It

After you slicker your way to glory, follow up with the comb. If the comb gets stuck… well, time to call in reinforcements. A de-matting tool is like the special effects team—working behind the scenes to make magic happen.

Patience is a Virtue

Doodles are drama queens. Brush too quickly? You’ll get the side-eye. Too rough? Prepare for melodrama. Be gentle, be loving, and maybe toss in a silly song for good measure.

Brush Like a Boss

Daily or every other day, or whenever your Doodle starts to resemble a tumbleweed—regular brushing keeps the fluff fabulous. And don’t forget those professional grooming touch-ups every 6–8 weeks. Even Beyoncé has a glam team.

So there you have it! Your Doodle’s coat is now flawless, their sass levels are through the roof, and you’ve earned your badge as a certified Canine Cosmetologist. Snap that photo and say it loud…

“Say cheese, you magnificent fluff!”
