Foster

Doodle Dandy Rescue doesn't have a shelter; we completely rely on wonderful fosters in Austin, San Antonio, Houston and the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex to provide loving homes for our dogs until they're adopted.

If you think might be interested in opening your home to a sweet doodle, please fill out our foster application.

Volunteer

Everyone who works with Doodle Dandy Rescue is a volunteer - there are no paid roles within the organization; therefore, we need your help on the front line and behind the scenes to successfully rescue and/or rehome dogs.

In addition to fosters, Doodle Dandy Rescue needs volunteers to run all aspects of the organization.

Those areas include:

  • Transporting of dogs and supplies

  • Social Media/Fundraising/Sponsorship

  • Intake

  • Creative writers for bios and newsletter

  • Dog bio and video creation

  • Adoption follow up
