Texas may have their iconic “Lady Bird,” but Doodle Dandy Rescue can do one better. We have “Lady Birdie”! Whereas Lady Bird is known for her bluebonnets, our Birdie is known for her one brown eye and her one uniquely ice blue eye! Here’s looking at you as she bats her one baby blue. Also, like Lady Bird, Birdie is a true politician. Wherever she goes, she will strive to be the center of attention, wanting to say hi and be acknowledged by all. Birdie is also an adventure-seeker, loving dog parks, walks, car rides, and weekends at the lake. Simply put, she loves a good adventure. She is very smart, constantly learning new tricks if there are treats involved. This begs the question to be asked, who is training whom? Toys, oh glorious toys—Birdie can never have enough of them. She loves to play fetch and tug of war, chew on bones, and roll around. She would be an excellent candidate for agility training. Physical touch is her love language. She is all-in for a good belly rub. In short, Birdie is a spunky, sassy, puppy with a personality to match!

 

The perfect home for Birdie would be one where there is someone home with her most of the day.  Birdie is still a young pup with plenty of puppy energy. Birdie would do well with an older, more relaxed dog who could set an example for her to follow. Children over the age of ten should work well with Birdie if they know how to handle a young pup and their play, setting boundaries when play turns rough. Birdie will need someone who is experienced in puppy training, who will work on her puppy skills. She would benefit from someone who is able to give her mental and physical stimulation with structure in a controlled environment. After all, she’s a puppy and will get herself into mischief if left to her own devices unsupervised. She will need someone who will be able to guide her to become the very best version of herself. Most importantly, Birdie needs a family who will give her all the time and attention she deserves. This young doodle pup has a lot to give!!
