SHAGGY

Shaggy’s Ideal Home:

• As a puppy, Shaggy will need continued training and socialization as he matures so that he is a canine good citizen. He wants to please you, so he is a quick learner.

• He will thrive in a home with another dog–both as a mentor and a playmate.

• Continued socialization will build Shaggy’s confidence. His early life was very sheltered so he’s making up for lost time and experiences.

• He can stay home with a pup-pal during the day but would much prefer to have his people around as well.

• Shaggy needs a yard for romping and chasing. He would be happy to share that yard with kids, too! He’s got that working dog drive for physical and mental stimulation.

• An active, rescue-savvy family will be his best fit.

Personality:

• Shaggy is a big puppy. He’s got a silly, playful personality. He loves his people intensely, enjoys playing hard, and wants to be the bestest boy. He’s gentle, but not always aware of his body in space.

• He’s got that typically high puppy energy that ends with a collapse for a solid nap.

• He has such a goofy, fun personality, it’s easy to love him, and he’s perfectly okay soaking up all the love and affection you can spare.

• He’s head of the neighborhood watch, keeping an eye on the sidewalks and yard from his sofa perch by the window. He even brings his stuffed toys with him for the views.

Is Shaggy Your Dood?

Shaggy’s adoption fee is $850. He is heartworm negative, current on all vaccinations and HW/flea preventatives, and microchipped. Neutering will be part of Shaggy's contract; DDR pays a set amount toward neutering. All adoption fees go toward expenses like medical costs and food for Doodle Dandy dogs and help make it possible for us to continue giving amazing pups like Shaggy a second chance.
