• Scout’s lookin’ for a homestead where he can be the one and only dog on the ranch, ‘cause he gets a mite ornery when another critter crowds his favorite human.

• Best if the young’uns are eight or better, and there’s a tall, sturdy fence he can’t hop when the wanderlust hits him.

• He needs a sidekick who’s home most of the day, will spend the first couple weeks out in the yard with him so he knows this spread is home, and don’t mind a dog that loves harder than a nor’easter blows.

• Needs a pardner who’s either ridden this trail before or’s willin’ to learn the ropes when it comes to easin’ a dog’s worried mind.

• Scout might eye a fella like he’s ridin’ into town wearin’ a black hat at first, and take a spell to warm up to the menfolk, but give him time and a fair shake, and he’ll come around true as sunrise.

He’s a Dandy Dood!

Well, pilgrim, meet Scout Pilgrim—a handsome Goldendoodle feller with a heart bigger’n Texas and loyalty that’d make ol’ Blue look like a drifter. This boy’s got two speeds: full-gallop chasin’ squirrels across the back forty like a stagecoach on the run, or curled up so close to his chosen person you’d swear he’s tryin’ to wear your skin like a coat (and reckon he’d be happier’n a pup with two tails doin’ it). He’ll trail you room to room, fetch that ball till the cows come home, and when the day’s done he’ll crawl right up and sleep on your chest if you let him—personal space ain’t in this cowboy’s vocabulary, and that’s just fine by me. Give this boy time and a steady hand, and you’ll have the most devoted shadow a man or woman ever rode the trail with. He settles in on the couch like he was born to hold down that spot, glued to his human’s side quieter than a campfire at midnight and twice as warm.Scout Pilgrim ain’t perfect, but by thunder, he’ll love you till his last breath – and that’s a promise from the heart of the West.

Scout Pilgrim’s adoption fee is $500. He is HW negative, current on all vaccinations and HW/flea preventatives, neutered, and microchipped. All adoption fees go toward expenses like medical costs and food for Doodle Dandy dogs and help make it possible for us to continue giving amazing pups like Scout a second chance.
