• An absolute necessity is to always have a nice warm lap available to Miss Judy Plum. Pats, kisses, and hugs should be given freely.

• Patience and love are needed to care for our special angel as she navigates her way through a new world offering safety and kindness.

• A quiet home for Ms. Judy in her twilight years would be plum perfect.

• Miss Judy Plum would do wonderfully with another fur bro or sis to help guide her.

Sweet as a summer plum, our little angel thrives on!
Once in a very long while, Doodle Dandy is called upon to care for one of the angels’ very special little ones. This is Doodle Dandy at their very best, caring and rehabilitating those injured, forgotten, lost, and endangered. Judy Plum was all four of these. At one time, Judy knew the safety of a loving family. Then, in her later years, lost and wandering the streets, partially deaf and mostly blind, she was struck by a car. From there Judy was put in a shelter with a broken leg for a month without much needed medical care. Doodle Dandy was notified of Judy’s situation the day before she was to be put down. The Doodle Dandy fairies rushed in immediately to save the day and precious little Judy’s life.
Since then, Judy’s sad and troubled life has taken a fantastic turn for the better. After two surgeries, one to repair the dislocated hip, the other to amputate the broken and necrotic leg, Judy thrives!!! Always, her little tail wagging like a propeller as she explores her new world. Set her on the ground and off she goes. The tail reminds us all of the wind-up toys with the key moving around as the toy races on. This plucky little pup has a lesson to teach us all as she remains sweet, grateful, and loving through a very difficult physical journey. The day after Judy’s amputation, Judy happily was full speed ahead, navigating with ease on her 3 legs. Judy has such an amazing way of compensating, never complaining, remaining resilient against the most difficult odds. As compensation for the loss of sight, Judy allows her excellent sense of smell to guide her. Always affectionate, ready to give puppy kisses in gratitude, Judy knows she has received a new lease on life. She’s un-peel-ievably cute with a lot of a-peel… plum-a-peel!
