Jailbird—aka JB, Your Economy-Size Teddy Bear/Slobber Monster!

Jailbird’s Ideal Home:

• Patient, experienced owner willing to continue JB’s training.  He learns fast and wants to please his people!

• Adults who are home often (JB will be your shadow!) and are strong enough to manage his size.

• A large yard for big-dog zoomies and playtime.

• Toys!  Lots of toys, please!  JB loves to play.

• JB is still “learning to dog,” and may get very excited around other pups. So either an only-dog home or an extra-chill fur sibling will be a better fit for this big sweetie.

What’s Special About Jailbird:

Rescued as a stray by a local police department, JB stayed overnight at the station, which is how he got his name—along with masses of attention from the officers!  He approves of the attention, even if he’s not a big fan of confined spaces.  This guy is all about his people-time (can you say, “Shadow?”) and sincerely wants to please you!  JB is a smart one,” and has quickly learned to Sit, Stay, and Come, as well as being perfectly house-trained.  His favorite things are belly rubs, hugs, and laying his head on your lap (it’s all that fits, sadly). Next faves are his toys—he loves playing and is not destructive.  He has big ol’ bear-paws and still wants to use them to get your attention, so impulse control is a work in progress.  Be warned:  JB’s doggy kisses involve ever-so-gently wrapping his mouth around your hand (keep those wipes handy, it’s messy!).  Are you ready for your very own sweet (slobbery) teddy bear?

Jailbird's adoption fee is $700. He is HW negative, current on all HW/flea preventatives and vaccines, neutered, and microchipped. All adoption fees go toward expenses like medical costs and food for Doodle Dandy dogs and help make it possible for us to continue giving amazing pups like Jailbird a second chance.
