•  No other animals in the home (Gussy prefers to be the one and only VIP)
•  Kids 12 years and older (he’ll adore the big kids who can handle his enthusiastic greetings)
•  Someone who’s home most of the day (because this affectionate boy thrives on company and hates missing out on the action)

Meet Gussy (“Gus”), the doodle who’s basically already auditioned for the role of “perfect sidekick” and nailed the callback! This clever fluffball adjusted to household chaos faster than you can say “new routine unlocked,” shows affection like it’s his full-time job (expect to be loved on 24/7), and waits for the green light before inhaling his kibble—manners so impeccable he could teach finishing school. 

Gussy’s medium-energy engine runs at a perfectly Goldilocks pace: lively enough for daily leashed walks (which he desperately needs and will thrive on), but happy to chill and snuggle once the “important business” of patrolling the living room is complete. He’s super smart and picks up commands like a furry little Einstein, so he’s just waiting for a confident, consistent leader who can guide him through some polite “meet-and-greet” training (because yes, he occasionally turns into a dramatic lunging drama queen when other dogs appear on walks—think less attack dog, more “excuse me, I MUST say hi RIGHT NOW”). 

Gussy is looking for his forever home with no kids under 12, a human who’s excited to take charge on daily leash adventures, and someone who’ll appreciate a brilliant, affectionate boy who’s basically one good leadership seminar away from being the most charming, well-behaved doodle on the block.

Reporting for Snuggles

Gussy’s adoption fee is $600. He is HW negative, current on all vaccinations and HW/flea preventatives, neutered, and microchipped. All adoption fees go toward expenses like medical costs and food for Doodle Dandy dogs and help make it possible for us to continue giving amazing pups like Gussy a second chance.
