From the minute Gus2 stepped a huge, furry paw inside his foster home, you could just tell that he’s a dood that absolutely loves life and adores his people. He relishes cuddles and scratches and enjoys playing tug-of-war with toys (he can’t fetch yet, but is a smart guy and would love to learn)! Gus2 is curious and becoming more confident every day. He is still cautious around men but does warm up to familiar guys. Even with everything he’s gone through in his life, his joyful attitude has never failed to bring a smile to our faces. He will even “talk” to you to express his joy at finding a new “leash” on life.

The Perfect Home for Gus2:

  • Someone who is home most of the day—He REALLY wants to be your work-from-home office buddy.

  • Food regimen and schedule—Gus2 is known to overeat (and occasionally counter-surf for a snack), so portion control and a consistent schedule are extremely important for him!

  • A house with a big yard for those big dog zoomies

  • Another dog would be wonderful! He looks to other pups for confidence.

  • He’s good with bigger kids but can be unaware of his size so younger kids could get knocked down.

He is HW negative, current on all vaccinations and HW/flea preventatives, neutered, and microchipped. All adoption fees go toward expenses like medical costs and food for Doodle Dandy dogs and help make it possible for us to continue giving sweet pups like Gus2 a second chance.
