Sophie

“If you don’t own a dog, at least one, there is not necessarily anything wrong with you, but there may be something wrong with your life.”

– Roger A. Caras

As a new foster, we felt a bit of trepidation entering the process. When we received the call from DDR that they had a rescue match for us we were very excited.  We were immediately connected with a wonderful network of DDR mentors to support and help us every step of the way.

Our pup, Sophie, was found as a stray.
She was underweight, not spayed and had several mammary tumors. Sophie was as sweet as could be but she was very scared and timid...she did not wag her tail for weeks!

With the guidance of our DDR mentors, we made sure Sophie had everything she needed (including a lot of kisses and nose booping)!  Sophie recovered very well from her surgeries and quickly made her way into our hearts.  So here we are, a year and a half later, and we could not imagine our lives without our precious pup! Sophie is happy and affectionate and she knows she is with her forever family.

We are also very thankful for the friends we made through Doodle Dandy Rescue.  We are in awe of this amazing organziation.
