Butter came into the rescue for a sad reason; his owner recently passed away.  His whole world has gone topsy turvy, but because he has been so well-loved, his heart is open and ready for a new family to call his own.  Butter is a big, goofy boy who cheerfully makes friends with everyone he meets: people, dogs, cats—he doesn’t discriminate.  He doesn’t always remember how big he is so he can be a bit of a klutz.  Butter loves to play with other dogs, enjoys learning new things (especially when treats are involved), and adores snuggling with his humans.

Butter would do best with a nice yard and some doggy siblings.  He needs some consistency and a little structure and daily exercise to refine his manners.  A doggy door to go potty would be ideal as that is what he was used to, although he is learning in his foster home how to signal when he needs to go out.  He is crate-trained, but if you would love a big cuddle bug in your bed, Butter would be happy to oblige.  Choose this boy, and Butter will truly melt your heart.

Butter’s adoption fee is $400. He’s HW negative, current on all HW/Flea preventatives, microchipped and neutered.
