Not quite a doodle, Rudy is a textbook Old English Sheepdog. Imagine him overlooking an English countryside estate or Hill Country ranch, monitoring the livestock and humans to ensure safety and peace. (If you were a Looney Tunes fan back in the 70’s and 80’s, you have the mental picture.) He’s chill, affable, and loving. He has the OES trademark happy-go-lucky personality and shaggy double coat. Normally low to medium-energy, he enjoys a play session but doesn’t need acreage to keep him happy, a backyard will suffice. He’s a bit drooly, another breed characteristic, and has definite opinions about the way things should go (including himself). While he is friendly with other dogs, he’d be much happier having sole possession of the manor or with another dog who will let him rule the roost. He needs a determined, experienced human leader who will continue his training and help him to be the very best OES he can be!

 

Rudy’s adoption fee is $600. He is HW negative, current on all HW/flea preventatives, neutered, and microchipped. All adoption fees go toward expenses like medical costs and food for Doodle Dandy dogs and help make it possible for us to continue giving amazing pups like Rudy a second chance.
