Here’s what we know—Casey is an adorable doodle mix with the most expressive eyes, face, and body language. She can’t hide a single thought! She was found as a stray and rescued from a local shelter. She’s a terrific snuggler, has energy to spare, and is both smart and sweet.

 

What we don’t know: her exact age or what her life was like before, but we have some clues. Her age is estimated at 2 years, but she has puppy-style playfulness and enthusiasm. It’s doubtful she was someone’s beloved pet because she’s still learning human-ways. She’s catching on to potty training—a very new concept for her initially. And she is super smart, but needs patience as she tunes into what her people want. She was so emaciated and matted when she first arrived, she’s just happy to be safe and loved where she can focus on the finer details beyond daily survival.  She’s also quite funny—sometimes rolling off the couch or running into things in her enthusiasm or inexperience.

 

Casey would love to have another pup in her home. She is still learning so much about life with humans that another dog provides her with valuable behavioral clues. She definitely needs continued training and experiences to expand her understanding of the human world.

 

Casey’s adoption fee is $600. She is HW negative, current on all HW/flea preventatives, spayed, and microchipped. All adoption fees go toward expenses like medical costs and food for Doodle Dandy dogs and help make it possible for us to continue giving amazing pups like Casey a second chance.
