What Delilah is looking for:
A stay at home parent who understands separation anxiety.
A family that will continue to help her overcome the trauma she has experienced and feel safe.
A quiet home. She is great with kids, as long as they are gentle.
Hey there, Delilah...what’s it like with Doodle Dandy? Better than ever for this survivor!
Delilah is a 28-pound, 5-6 year-old Dachshund mix who has recently recovered from a severe wild animal attack. She will need dedicated support as she continues to overcome the associated trauma of this experience.
This wonderful pup is potty trained and leash trained, but does not deal well with the crate as she prefers the comfort of companionship. She is working on her separation anxiety, but this will require continued dedication and patience from her adopter. This special person(s) will need a soft heart and an understanding of this pup’s trauma.
Delilah is a super dog! She’s the best companion, always in tune with her owner’s feelings and has been a wonderful guardian to a gentle child in her foster home. She is loving, caring and very gentle herself. She adores affection, is a fast learner and minimal shedder… should we go on? She’s good with other dogs and mostly ignores cats. If you are looking for a shopping partner, she’s got you! Delilah loves car rides and hanging in the shopping cart. She is very calm and easy to take anywhere with you.
This sweet girl knows a couple of commands like sit, come, stay and no. Her perfect family would have someone home often, who is looking for a full-time adoring companion. She is a very gentle girl and appreciates a calm environment. She’s making great progress on controlling her urge to run through the door when it is open but will need continued training to curb that instinct. Times Square can’t shine as bright as you, Delilah. Your fur-ever
family is right around the corner, darling.
