DOODLE DO YOU MATCH?

My Doodle Story

CANYON

Ideal Home:

  • He needs someone who wants him around but doesn’t need him around. He is happy to just to exist and participate in your life at his pace. Canyon is not overly affectionate; he doesn’t have that Velcro part of the “doodle” in him. He takes time to warm up to people so maybe a couple meet and greets, not just one and he goes.

  • Canyon will thrive in a home that matches his big heart + moderate energy + love for people.

  • Space to stretch out: A home with a yard or room to roam is ideal—he’s an 80 lb guy who enjoys moving around and occasional zoomies.

  • People who want a companion: He’s not a “leave me alone” dog—he wants to be near his humans, get pets, and be part of daily life (except for car-rides, no thanks).

  • Moderately active lifestyle: Daily walks, some playtime, then back to relaxing—he’s the perfect balance of fun and chill.

  • Another dog? Sure! He does great with other dogs, even small ones—just keep in mind his size and occasional zoomies.

  • Someone who appreciates a gentle giant. He’s big, loving, and occasionally forgets his size (lap dog energy), so a home comfortable with larger dogs is best.

  • Consistency with light guidance: He’s well-trained overall but would benefit from regular walks and gentle reinforcement (especially on leash at the start of walks).

Personality:

  • Canyon isn’t just another doodle—he’s the kind of dog that makes a house feel like home. A “play a little, chill a lot” kind of dog—he’s up for fun when you are, but equally happy being your laid-back companion.

  • He loves BIG—This guy thrives on connection. If you’re his person, he’s all in—loyal, affectionate, and always nearby (yes… even on your lap).

  • Gentle giant energy—At 80 pounds, he could be intimidating—but he’s the total opposite. Sweet, polite, and great with other dogs, he truly doesn’t realize how big he is.

  • Personality for days—From his excited “announcement bark” when you arrive, to need to play , to the very intentional paw tap when you stop petting him—he keeps life fun.

  • Low maintenance, high reward—He’s potty-trained, well-mannered, and knows commands—no chaos here, just a solid, good boy who’s ready to settle right into your life.

  • Built-in best friend—He’ll greet you like you’re famous and happily be your shadow all day long.

Is Canyon a Fit for You?
Canyon’s adoption fee is $450.  He is current on vaccinations and heartworm negative, up to date on HW/flea preventatives, neutered, and microchipped. All adoption fees go toward expenses like medical costs and food for Doodle Dandy dogs and help make it possible for us to continue giving amazing pups like Canyon a second chance.
