All About Birdie2:

Hi. My name is Birdie! I’m not sure why I have that name...maybe it’s because I’m little and oh so cute.  A little more about me: I am a 6 month-old Aussie/Shih Tzu mix and weigh just 13 pounds—pretty small for a dog, but kind of big for a bird! I have one blue eye and one brown eye. That’s the Aussie in me, mate! I have a pretty coat that doesn’t seem to shed, but will require grooming. I love people. I love cuddles. I love people who cuddle! Even toddlers don’t bother me, because I know my new family will help the little ones understand that I’m not a stuffed animal or toy, and need the same gentle hand that little humans need. However, I really do light up around children.

I like moderate exercise. My foster parents say I get the “zoomies” on occasion. Yet, I am perfectly happy just hanging by your side or cuddling in your lap. I’m not fond of my crate. I love being with the family and other dogs. Isolation just makes me sad. I’m okay on a leash, but I could use further training. I’m young, eager to learn and want to please! And, I’m potty trained!

Again, I’ll still a puppy, but I can be shy and untrusting upon first meeting people—except kids, I really love kids! I become fearful and will bark and growl in sight of strangers or dogs Ihaven’t yet met, so intentional socialization will be my key to success.

My ideal furever home? I really need a patient owner who is dedicated to working with me in regards to my anxiety of big people, new places, and being alone. Totally awesome would be a home with other playmates my size. Big bonus if they work from home. That would be amazing! You keep me company, I remind you that life is not all work and stress.

If interested (please be interested!), just follow the links and we can live happily ever after! Birdie’s adoption fee is $600 plus sales tax and she’s current on all HW/Flea preventatives, microchipped and spayed.
